Elizabeth’s Healing Kitchen
Welcome to my kitchen!
I have been cooking and growing food for most of my life. My Greek heritage introduced me to the rich and diverse cuisine of the Mediterranean, that is not only delicious, but also enriching to the body and soul. Hippocrates’ famous quote 'Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food’ says it all. During my youth, I loved spending time in the kitchen with my mother and auntie, learning how to cook. My father kept a summer vegetable garden and I marvelled at how tiny little plants would grow and produce such delicious food. I was hooked; cooking and gardening became my passion and a major part of my life.
For 23 years, I cooked professionally as a Chocolatier and Cake Maker. My passion for growing food led me to study Permaculture, which has a holistic approach to keeping a garden.
I now live on a 42 acre farm and use my accumulated skills to grow our food organically and live as close to nature as possible. My spirituality led me to become a healer later in my life. Connecting with our Mother Earth through gardening and food is very healing. Food should be nutritious and healing to the body.
I have explored many diet fads. They come and go, but the Mediterranean Diet that I was raised with has been time tested and I always come back to it.
My mission is to inspire you to reconnect with your body and our Mother Earth through fresh, nourishing, delicious food.
Come cook with me!
